roasted figs and goat cheese can be as good as chocolate cake.
rose tea replaced double shot cappuccinos. we were taking pictures with our cellphones. the light was low. i wasn't happy with the shape of my face. it's asymmetrical. just like my poems.
diamond dust reflected off the skin of my arms. you picked up brochures and studied them, planning our next date.
the waiters argued over whether to serve tea latte formally on a tray or casual-like. we talked about the architecture of the building, discussed the decor, had some more tea and left.
it was the best birthday in years.
