They might be tears upon waterless moon
expressions of loneliness spread over ages
bold lover's first tempting kiss fallen to cold absence;
they might be illusive mysteries
markings of once-upon winds
but long untouched remainders
make the scene a memory, not a dream.
Moon is a mirror of our best
hopes and wishes have risen
and in the constant gleam we imagined
answers to questions of hearts, grown
deep as her shimmered ebony sea;
but when the eye finds beauty of night
and the skies hold the center of thought
we cannot forget what we have started
and what we sought to be.

To know the universe as free and dancing,
near and far is eyes of crystal,
grows our closer understanding
to what is heart inside a footprint...
lovely poem and love contest

Or as the good old poet once said, and he was probably in a bad mood: 'just a satellite'.
But here in your verses, it comes as it is, beautiful.

This is so hopeful, and beautiful. And I know I use that word alot with your work, sorry... but it's so.
