It's a tough time
when the hormones jump up and hit you in the face
usually bursting forth as red yukky lumps
You body starts to change
and emotions fluctuate between
wierd and wierder
It's not easy being a teen
Know this
young teenage explorer
that the road and journey is tough
It's a time for learning the boundaries
No more protection of the parental kind
you get to experiment and learn
all for yourself
Those that do this best had boundaries
Parents with understanding
and open compassion
who guided firmly but with skilled lessons of life
the ulimate gift for their future
THE most valuable lesson is this
Never be at the mercy of another
Always be the one in control of you
Know your value
Know your own set boundaries
and follow them
Stay strong and positive
what you think about the most
is what you bring into your life
good or bad.
Remember That!

-->>"When the hormones jump up and hit you in the face
Usually bursting forth as red yukky lumps" That made me giggle. Excellent poem! A few grammar errors, but I did not specify that in the rules so you're good. I'm not sure if this completely followed what the contest was about, but I did LOVE how straight forward this was. Great!
(But I'm not completely sure; what did you mean by 'NON entry'? Sorry if that is a stupid question.)

I do not want this to be in the contest as an entry.
It's just for you.
