The word is music to my ears.
I've waited years to be called that.
Once upon a time, I had a feeling
That I would go my entire life
Without having that title.
Then, you came along.
It turned out to be the perfect match.
You needed a father figure.
I desperately wanted to be a father.
Now, I look forward to all our chats
Just so I can hear that one word.
You turned my world upside down
In more ways than one.
We've had more than our share of conflicts,
All of which I feel very bad about
Because I never mean to do anything to hurt you.
Still, I've happily greeted this role
The same way I greet you each morning:
With open arms.
Now and forever, thanks to you,
I will be known as the one thing
That I wanted to be:
A Daddy!
