Can I breach this divide?
Is there some way
that we can be together
forever
with nothing else
to cause delay.
Will our love go out
with the tide?
After hearts collide
do they smash…
against each other
forever clashing
inside.
Give me the answers
please.
The questions
are killing us.
Author notes
The title and first line of the poem was taken from the last line of the poem 'Waiting' posted by Fay Cartwright. I liked the poem Waiting because it was gentle yet intense at the same time.

Oh this is beautiful lass...
i love this...
I love poignant questions in poetry...
this is so sweet and articulate..
so nice to see your golden smile next to my work little gypsy..
your comment is valued ten fold knowing you are a true poet.
Bless you always lass,
Liam
