I really liked this poem. You get the sense that you've fallen head over heals for this person, yet at the same time have the discipline to hold back just a little, as if the past made you wiser.
I'm there myself right now, and we're "waiting" a bit longer until we further ourselves. The torture!!!! That's what I was thinking of when I read this.
