I sit in shadows watching all
These little people make me grin
Then try to help before they fall
As world spins round and round again
They ask me if at times they’re wrong
Sometimes before they do begin
Then do their best before too long
As world spins round and round again
A circle seems what I have found
For we go back where we have been
Our lives in loops where we are bound
As world spins round and round again
I sit in shadows watching all
As world spins round and round again

Very well done work on this Jim! Beautiful to read the words and the tribute. Good job on the Honorable mention... you deserve it!

A beautiful Kyrielle Sonnet and I can understand your words well as I have grandchildren. This has a certain softness to it that I like very much.
Congratulations on the HM...Sue

If the worst I can find to say about a poem is I don't like American format dates you must be doing something right!
A very well formed Kyrielle sonnet
Thanks a lot for a strong entry.

Thanks
I have seen it many ways over the years. Probably best to just write it out. I do appreciate your time and kind words.
