Inner Quest

                    Nature abounds in every step of my inner quest.
                    Beginning the long journey up to mountains so high,
                    Enjoying the beauty and serenity of my surroundings.                 
                    Motionless standing ever so still like that of a statue.
                    Beautiful orange and black butterfly lands on my head.
                    Delighting in the uniqueness of this wonderful creature,
                    Finding a spot where my head will lie tonight among stars.
                    Peacefulness engulfs my turbulent emotions within myself.

                    Wild blueberries all around beckon my hungry tastebuds.
                    Looking for food that will sustain my hunger for awhile,
                    Gathering firewoods sticks that will warm my body tonight.
                    Gratefulness filling my heart inside for such a special find.
                    Moonlight shinning down upon my sheltered night spot.
                    Laying on my back gazing up into the brightly lit sky,
                    Drifting reflections of how my life has become now.
                    Thankfulness residing within my mind, body and soul.

                    Morning brings in a new sunny day of my inner quest.
                    Returning down the mountainside of discoveries,
                    Desiring to retain all my memories now ever present.
                    Fullfillness of my dreams overcomes all my nightmares.
