Fireflies,
like fallen stars,
like bright memories,
illuminate the darkness.
The gentle touch of the
sun’s lips softly exhales
in the fading light,
a residue of warmth
that caresses me,
intimately.
A soothing breeze
ruffles the night air,
entwining the beauty
of the moment and
the emotions that ripple
within, and lift them
gossamer light,
into the darkening sky.
A twilight dance
of memories and moonlight.

Some beautiful imagery portrayed here, vivid and very inspiring
The third verse is especially superb! I'm not a fan of repeating words so close together, like in lines two and three, but the rest of the poem is really fantastic! An awesome read, good luck in the contest but you really shouldn't need it
