Out on the sidewalk
Prim paper prism in the palm.
Waxy paper wrapped
Finely bundled little pack.
Pick and peel the folded edge
Cleanly unfold to yield the pink and slip inside.
J's world of wit and witicism awaits
Carefully deciphered, but not always understood.
Pink powder briquette
Brittle in the cold, softens in the fingers.
Finally slid in between lips
Chunky, chomping, bulging cheeks.
Dreaming of a bubble
worthy of its name.
Re and reread the waxy note
before tucking safely away in a pocket.
To collect perhaps to trade
So much to chew, so little time.
Walk on.

oh my, I can't believe it!
Your its is off but otherwise, this is a class act. Tasting that sweet sugar dust and mid-line ridge as I read... I wonder who ever bothered to break them in half - well, I guess if you wanted to share with your girlfriend, you might.
