Whispers floated over the land,
Waking it from its deep sleep,
Reviving the old spark of passion,
Stirring up the energy stored.
For she was coming, she was coming!
Her hair, the wind's favorite medium.
Her skin, the earth's preferred satin.
Beloved child, she was coming home!
For too long had she been away,
Too little did she play with her family.
Now the wind began to loosen her plait,
And the earth was tickled by her toes.
Oh, how she missed this!
Forgot how it was to feel nature!
She relished the joy in her heart,
And laughed with the breeze.
But silly, lovable, wondrous girl,
She was not the only one slighted.
When she was gone and far from there,
With whom could the wind and earth play?
