There were 9 wine bottles
standing on the table
with two old blokes
thinking they were able
but with one wine bottle
swigged without a care
there were 8 wine bottles
still all lined up there
There were 8 wine bottles
taking up the space
so the old blokes drunk one
to save themselves disgrace
but the taste they felt
meant drinking a few more
and there was one wine bottle
now lying on the floor
one wine bottle
looked too much for the pair
one wine bottle
meant they had to share
so they emptied out their pockets
for money hidden there
and devided up the cost
to buy another pair
