i had butterflies from my chest to my toes,

and i smelled like you all night.

you sat up to look at the clock;

tell her how i pulled you back down.
i couldn't believe what i my mouth was saying when i mumbled,
"just a few more minutes".
i was so brave with you.

what you fucking told me.
"i'm going to stay with her, but last night was fun."
even though you'd been telling me you wanted to break up with her..
even though i did everything because i thought she didn't matter to you anymore..

she doesn't matter.
