Goodwill is suffocating
Or maybe it's compassion, a past recollection...
Onward for reproachful lies, though
Death has claimed truth for its own grotesque means
Bereft of true love, this vast plain of life tends towards
Yet goodbye flourishes, consuming loss, relationship...
Even welcoming death with open arms
Author notes
It's an acrostic, if you didn't notice.

Impressive!
Aside from wordbanks, I have found acrostics to be the most challenging. Well done! -
