a difference

My eyes find a circling hawk
the hawk finds small prey
the ways of the world seem clear.

Someday I'll pass like white drifting clouds
wandered between sun and her soft cheek
the world and she will feel the difference, shed shiny dew
drops, by slow lingered drop upon a still morning rose.

the ways of the world seem clear.. yes..

i was followed down the road by a turkey vulture the other day.. he seemed to be ambling... out for the ride.. this made me think of that- figured i'd put it in poetry soon...
i love the segue also.. the soft cheek of her
    the morning rose

    lovely as always

Thank you for your kind words... turkey vulture, in some ways the most distinct profile that I recognize...no neck I will circle slowly and look for signs of poetry...PK

i liked the opening segment.. of just this is how things are... like if you want something you zone in on it and no matter how far away it seems - it is reachable....
the second stanza was lovely with soft images

thank you for this great entry in our contest
