Empty!

My gumball globe is empty!
Haven't used it since I got it...
There is no 'Good 'N' Plenty,'
and I don't know why I bought it!

There's nothing that's inside of it!
There's sure no candy corn...
I just can't stand the sight of it
sitting there forlorn!

I would go buy some gumballs
and fill it to the top...
but then I'd chew them all at once,
I don't think I would stop!

Red ones, blue ones, green ones, chew tons!
Chewing 'til my cheeks are full,
chewing far too many
chewing 'til my teeth wear dull!

..That's why it's still empty..

I've had that gumball machine for about two years. Haven't had a use for it until now!

    Yellow ones are the best... at least the little ones that say FORD on them. That's not a division of the car company is it? Leftover weatherstripping wrapped in a hard candy shell? Hmmm... makes one wonder. Anyway, cute light verse here well worthy of the bronze beauty!
