Pennsylvanian Hometown Blues

On the road again takin' in the views
Leavin' Delaware and Maryland some hidden clues
Ain't no opportunities for a man like me
Playin' blues on the turnpike since 1973

And the band keeps on playing right on cue
While in Perry County they're awaiting payment due
I may not live forever but I can tell you this
I'll be the bluesman to grant your every wish

No matter what reason you have to give
I'll give you purpose just to live
I've made my bones, I've paid my dues
with those Pennsylvanian hometown blues

Now I don't have much money
But what I have is yours
I can fill you with my music
And give you pause

There ain't much in this world
That I haven't seen or done
Like Muddy Waters and old John Lee
I've still got songs I haven't sung

And no matter what reason you have to give
I'll give you purpose just to live
I've made my bones, I've paid my dues
with those Pennsylvanian hometown blues

And no matter what reason you have to give
I'll give you purpose just to live
I've made my bones, I've paid my dues
with those Pennsylvanian hometown blues

This is well written Blues Song. I think it needs some Guitar and Harmonic to go with it. Thank you for entering the contest

Is this a tribute to Bill or just a blues song? It's a really good song whichever way you look at it.

This is extremely well written; I think you must be a song writer as well as a poet. It really gives the feel of the blues and I can tell it's coming from your soul. Thankyou!

    Peace Georgia
