How many X's will it take
for me to seem legit?
'Cause like every other
angsty teenager
I'm pissed
I'm horny
I'm confused
and I'm very very emotional.
So I write everything
in wrist-cutters bloody X.
'Cause I'll never have the "courage"
to take the blade
and press down hard.
Slitting into my conscious arm
and into my outrageous lies.
Author notes
I tend to bitch about a lot of things...but I can't help it if people keep giving me things to complain about.
I'm against self harm and cutting, but when people glamorious and encourage such nonsene it pisses me off.
Any advice would be lovely?

And pissed off you should be. In the course of a lifetime, we as human beings do things that we later look back at and realize how intensely stupid they were. My addiction was drugs and alcohol. After being clean for many years now, I tend to look at other addictions as being just as insane. I can honestly attest, I have never understood the "cutter" but I wonder how many people that cut understand addiction to "crack". ~Sigh
If we come out on the other end feeling healed then we have a greater testament than those who have never experienced the valleys. My greatest mountains came from being deep in a hole that I knew I never belonged in in the first place.
Your words have given me food for thought and now I will gladly come down off my soap box. Good stuff here young lady.
Be mindful that no matter our likeness to others we are still individuals.
