Magik by day
It is a comfort in frost bitter bleakness
A beacon in the forthcoming darkness
Signalling that time has come
For me and my crow to unite as one
As I awoke one cold sunny morn
A breezy gale and chilly dawn
I could still hear the sound of Crow’s wise song
When I gazed upon his branch, my Crow he hadn’t gone
I caught his eyes with my sharp Wolf sight
Lady by day, I change come night
This day was different; the moon was still a shine
The morning moonlight lit up Crow’s disguise
That’s when I saw the ebony knight
Crow too was of the human kind
A courageous braveness and a handsome fella
His magical purpose
To control the weather
Long had he reigned over Earth’s atmosphere
Controlling the winds and the global temperature
A magician it seemed, a wizard of sorts
This was something I wanted to explore
My fangs still with me, my whiskers attune
I morphed back into my wolf costume
And trying hard to fly along with Crow too
I jumped so high, I jumped straight into the moon
Mysteries would be unravelled soon
My long shaggy coat, a thick warm fur
Moonbeam city was shining on her
WolfWoman heart was taking over
CrowMan now my Magic teacher
And as if by a spell, we flew in colours
Surrounded by silver fairies and purple flowers
Zooming down into the darkened hours
Where graveyard ghosts lurk waiting to devour
I saw the secrets of a forgotten place
Crow taught me magiks of changing face
And all the myths I thought untrue
He proved the Gods were just like us too
Immortal animals at war
Wolf and Crow, we are one and the same
Bonded minds just separate names
We enter into a higher plane
Whilst back on Earth, our bodies remain
Awaiting the coming day
