As embers lie on beds of hope,
ignition walks a thin tightrope.
Buried by a gentle breeze
or carried thru rustling trees,
love may die from time apart
or blaze again in the heart.
As embers lie on beds of hope,
ignition walks a thin tightrope.

Thank you for your entry
Well done. This fire is more in the abstract and certainly uses personfication well. I really liked this. Thank you for following the prompt.
The form was followed perfectly, the rhyme scheme was well developed. Your syllable count was perfect.
I encourage you to keep writing to read and comment.
God Bless
