    Emptiness. Indeed that is the word saudade. It's a fine word you have introduced to me and which I've used in prose and poetry, and explains feelings that can't be put in one English word....in fact it took eleven!

    Thank you for the entry, and for bringing the word to my attention, for broadening my concept of writing, and for etter understanding you...man, talk about impossible tasks!
