Lingering in disturbia

Seeing you around still brings me to my knees,
I love it when I see you,
Because there is no force strong enough to repel your smile,

Its as though cupid had paid for the release of my heart,

When you kissed me I felt immortally strong,
It was you and me against the world,
As we walked and talked you gave me a sense of self belief
I thought this is the end of the drama and the pain with you I felt like I did belong.

But I couldn't finish the bridge I had built with you,
After I met your best friend she made sure it would burn,
And now the soft spot I kept for you in my heart has reopened,
I am caught in disturbia,
knowing that the days when I held you end in mine will never return,

Your my only weakness,
The one that walks into my dreams whenever I fall to sleep,
It just breaks my heart even more to hear you have a man,

It's funny how three years on,
You can sink my heart like a battle ship,

Shame the circumstances weren't better,
