Oh God
it is a reality that I discern you
and you too perceive me
even we can witness one another
yet, we can't dream of
shaking our hands
since, between you and me
there is a barricade
a barricade made up by the
leather of my material
Oh God...

The reader embraces the concern of the barricade between God and "the leather of my material" . The parallel for this effect all that stand in that door to mimic words we accept God in his glory...yet we are without real life time commitment

just like
tanning dear hide, it takes long time

Besides we being flesh, also God is so much greater (larger, more powerful) than we are.
Do you think our individual spirit can touch God's Spirit (as in prayer)?

A wonderful prayer lifted up to the Lord. Beautifully penned. Thank you for entering the contest.

Ah, wonderful and full of imgery line. I really liked this poem because it spoke of God as though he's a friend. He is indeed a friend, a father, a Holy God and everything.
Best of luck in the contest for you.
Much love
~Noor
