Portal of the sky
we beg you, do not cry.
Without stain
in worldly pain,
you bring forth
the babe Emmanuel
the One we love so well.
Even as we dwell,
in your compassion,
so you give us consolation
and hope.
Aid us, as we call
on you the Virgin, first and last, for all,
a gracious enthroned Queen,
with tender love that can be seen
pointing us to our salvation
through your star of intercession
with Christ the Babe.

Lovely poem - reminded me of one we chanted in Carmel: "Flowering blossom, Fruitful vine;
Woman resplendent, Mother Divine..."
Very Nice!

lovely rendition of the mother of the lord
quantum, I so love your version of mother mary. It describes the her passion and how she is a true patron and protector of women and children.

Great Write
This is a great write for this time of year since Christmass is going to be here in a matter of a couple of weeks. Great imagery of the baby Jesus and Mary his mother.

Whew. That was incredible. I loved this. My love for Christ, Christmas, etc. has nothing to do with it.
It is a truly beautiful and touching poem.
Best of luck in the contest!
Write on!
