Reassurance

Clothed in nothing but

despair, she plunges

into a pit of stone-cold

emptiness

Self pity rang in their

sighs, and resignation

danced upon her eyelids,

threatening her tears

to fall again

Anxiety prickled her skin,

but nothing could elevate

the hopelessness behind

it all

She cries to a silent

audience, pleading for

some reassurance

Wow what a great write. It has all the loneliness of the painting itself. No small task when addressing Munch! Good luck in the contest!
