Our friendship a rosebud,
so young and blossoming.
There was truly no need
to worry about a thing.
Life was a blast,
back were I belonged.
With you by my side
what could possibly go wrong?
"Now until forever,"
That was our motto
"best friends forever."
Why would I ever have to go?
Through thick and thin
steadfast you stood by.
We were always so happy
You would never tell a lie.
I trusted you with all,
as you did with me.
how was I to know
that i was to become an "Ausi".
News like that
was our one disruption.
Our friendship for now,
would be experiencing corruption.
Suicidal thoughts sprang into my head.
But through this you stood by
and it is thanks to you,
I am not dead.
So off to "Oz"
is the future for me.
Together forever
It's you and me Gabi.
Together no matter what
or who comes our way.

Gabi was my best friend in South Africa.... we were scarrily close. Allthough our friendship was reasonably rescent it was the strongest and most powerful I have ever experienced. I found out the news that I was immagrating to Australia and I felt as if I could no longer go on if this was happening. she saved me from myself and I went through with the move. I have been here for 4 months now and our friendship has stayed the same and will hopefully continue to grow... I will never forget Gab but I also look forward to my new memories i will make with my new friends.
