"The biggest stars look at me with your eyes."
--Pablo Neruda, Here I Love You
sometimes i imagine
that we would have sat long hours
on a slightly damp pier
and the dew wouldn't have bothered us.
sometimes
you are more real to me,
more alive
than the kitten asleep in my lap
than the cold coming from the air conditioner
that has not been covered
though it is december.
you have been asleep underground
for nearly one year
and though earth holds you only as dust
you are within me, as song,
as silver,
as the north star
watching me from forever.

I really liked S1 and S2. The rest was beautiful, but seemed weaker to me. Maybe it's the ending, the 'forever' part; a bit cliche? Just my opinion though.
I love Neruda's work, too.
