Like Ophelia
Your mind became so
Unbalanced and you
Drowned, but there the stark
Similarity
Ended; you could have
Been well again, your
Broken mind mended,
Had they given you
The right prescribed drugs
And had you seen by
A psychiatrist
And not locked away
In some room for weeks
On end with other
Broken people in
The deep black sea
Of insanity.
They ought to have kept
An eye on you, saved
You from yourself, watched
You as you wandered
In the grounds that day,
Have heard your cries, as
You were drowning, take
Flight like dark angry
Birds in the blue sky.

Written truly, a fine poem with images that the reader understands and holds close.
I love the ending with the birds.
