racing winds' shrill call
a winter night's lonely song
shelted geese honking
Author notes
The sounds of winter bend us into a windswept icy grip, yet we rarely witness nature's truly forceful capacity.
As in other parts of life, the wind tends to blow strongly for a spell, then you recoup and deal with its aftermath!

Resonant
Very apropos for today's measure of winter's wind. Thoroughly enjoyed the sounds and sights. Diction just right!

Very good Haiku 'B' though here in New Mexico we don't see the geese flying south for the winter. They probably turn right at Texas. Good luck in the contest and happy trails.

Thanks
Funny thing about geese, they don't grub around in sand too often!
Hope you are doing well, really continue to enjoy your writes, Mr. Wright!

Evocative
I can feel the bite of the bitter cold in this one. Great texture and sensation! Like the sensations the words evoke - wonderfully aural!!
