I remember ever moment
every face, every scream
I remember the children running
thinking, please let this be a dream
I remember the laughing
as they walked down the hall
the cell phones ringing
is this there last call
I remember crying
gun fire piercing the air
they fired with out looking
laughing without a care
I remember…….Silence
as the last one hit the floor
the officers were too late
and the children were no more

This is still very much an emotional subject for me. Good luck to all who enter.

Wow this poem really hits you in the gut. It was very tragic that it had to happen...humans you never know which ones will crack. I love how this poem just takes a hold of you.
