Your desire is present in your body language now,
the constant hunger to see me as I see you.
Whirlwind thoughts of who you long to be,
features hidden by sight are present with touch
but longer fingers can't show the way forever.
I know you long to be me
able to see with hands and eyes.
I watch as you try to grasp the idea of sight,
Unbelievable images of color cascading rainbows.
Movement not in rigid or counting form,
but free fluid flowing steps
gliding on translucent air.
Yet here we sit alone again,
desperate for any hint that you see me.
Your blank stare holds the words caught in your throat
the frustrating screams bellowing in your head
confused and cluttered with flawed emotions.
Despite the guilt that I can only live on through you,
I wish for one day you could see you the way I do.
Author notes
I chose the mirror view with a twist of human emotion in a way. Hope you get what I was trying to do.

I feel like this is more from the reflection's view than the mirror's, but thats just me. Beautifully written poem though

Another different and interesting take on the prompt. I really feel I'm there, watching the girl and her reactions. I like the way the reflection can see, is empathising with the girl, feels guilty for her sight. The last line closes the poem perfectly.
Thanks for entering
