The Kitty Dorm

Missing image
Were just poor little kitties, that's all we'll ever be,
living in a kitty tenement, waiting dutifully
for our dream tom to come wandering
with a tough and feisty  stride,
take away a lucky tabby, as his happy kitty bride.

There's Tabatha and Foosy, Lucy Li and Belle Au Bleu
a short hair and a Persian and a Himalayan Too
We're all good girls together
till that lucky day arrives,
when we'll trade in our spinsterhood for our enchanted lives

Then we'll sleep on silken pillows, and lap up bowls of cream
when life will be much better than our finest cat nap dream
And raise a batch of kittens,
with the one who steals our heart
that very special fellow from whom we'll never part.

Author notes

I just imagined these girls were all attending Kitty Cat college resting between semesters.

It reminds me of this old Jerry Lewis movie where they showed women living in a dorm? in cut out form like this...I'm sure they too were waiting for the perfect Tom to walk in.

Cute photo, they seem like contented cats.

omg the kittens are cute lol and how neat they look over there
and ah the idea of a kitty dorm in a catnap...amazing!

reminds me back in college, where I could only have a 4-step tour on my bedspace.

    Errm oops sorry.... the poem
Lol this brings a whole new meaning to me of being 'left on the shelf'. This is just too cute and gorgeous!
They sure look like they are waiting on display until a 'good' Tom comes along!
    Love it!
