the holiday spirit

 

Standing under the mistletoe,

she gives me kisses.

[ho, ho, ho]

 

Nice and snug, we curl up by the fire.

We watch Christmas movies and sip

on hot cocoa.

 

All gathered 'round the fire,

us and our friends,

the animals we own and our dearest

of kin.

 

We cherish these moments

of holiday cheer.

We will wait here together,

as Christmas draws near.

    Lovely and so warm to think of those special moments with family,(even the four-legged portion) curled up around the fire and enjoying themselves for a change.
