The Purging

Oh God
as I entertain another
day arriving
my heavy heart
reaches out
to thee.

As I'm knowing
that yesterday's
rationing is upon me
and I'm again in need
of thee.

As the dear deer pants
longs for and attempts
so do I
in my own world of misery
as I follow after
total restoration's cling
Loving Lord, help me to lean.

Then purge me as no other
for my needs are great indeed
only in your arms of lather
will my faulty heart give heed.

YOur personal unique prayer is very touching...Coming from your own viewpoint and words of your request of your Master...your rhyming and flow is excellent.

I like "yesterday's rationing is upon me" and "your arms of lather". Striking phrases.

A very interesting take on the prompt. Hope this is more for the prompt and less for personal trans-purification! Who knows? Could be killing two birds with one stone here!

Yes, the killing of two birds, seems to be economically correct hahaha
