Happiness stands frozen by the river,
water runs though it, making it quiver.
Once the sun comes the ice melts into June
glowing so bright by the light of the moon.
Colors bleed together within the snow,
flowing, colliding as the wind dies low
taking them to rest by the sleeping wood,
plastering colors where shadows once stood.
And beneath the trees all the children sleep,
allowing the happiness to sink deep.
Winters chill grip stands cold on their soft skin,
but with their dreams happiness creeps on in.

It makes me wish it was summer! This is really well written. So rich and full of little details. Good luck in the contest.

Excellent Write
So very well written, full of graphic descriptions of winter starting to change into a beautiful spring. A small point, I think you meant 'them' on line 7 and not 'then'
