A glow had shone for ages from the moon
and on this said occasion, winter's night
had summoned in the call while children soon
brought joy and well earned replicated light,
what new found re-creation would delight.
They stood without mere mention for affray,
too soon to be the apples of our eyes
instead the earth moved in with a display
to trees those children planted, what surprise,
whilst having no relations why they stray?
Shadows formed and as the trees grew high,
the woods would find impossible to break
snow had frozen late from one good-bye,
to lead a river flowing to the lake.
are little orphans somehow, our mistake?
