A winters day, the children play,
tossing snowballs the size of apples.
Moon rising in the east, end of day,
as they dodge and play in the shadows.
Boots covered in snow as they throw,
running in and out of the woods.
A bulls-eye throw, brother hits the snow,
little sister hiding in the trees.
A foot in the river will make you shiver,
it has not yet quite frozen over.
