I was chewing on an eyeball
when it fell onto the floor
I think I saw it wink
as it rolled outside the door.
Bouncing down the stairs
squishing round the bend
I chased it with an eyelash
borrowed from a friend.
It rolled into the street
gave my neighbour quite a fright
as it leapt onto his face
and gave him one long bite.
He threw it in the road
it saw a great big truck
the last thing that I heard
it shouted out ‘ OH DEAR ! '.
