Words lay trapped in silence
choaking on confusion.
If they escape, make no mistake
someone will surely rue them.
Anger heaves in bitter gall
as tears dance with frustration,
unfairness waves a flighty hand
and mouths an accusation.
But wisdom weaves a silken strand
that holds the mind together,
and to stop another war
silence must reign forever.

This is really good, my friend. No wasted words (though I think you may mean 'choaked' rather than 'chocked'). The rhyme intensifies the emotion and the brief lines just contain the pain and anger. You certainly earned the silver for this. mlj

I love the last two stanzas. A very intense write. Great! Thanks for your entry and good luck.
Much love

This is deeply revealing of emotions leveled and the wisdom of silence that sooths the savage beast of loose cannons.
