Behind the envious veil of the ashen clouds.
The blazing sea of fractured lights,
pleads with unadulterated splendor
for the impassioned touch of a lover's eye.
Shamed by its resplendence,
Urania recoils in anguish
when its beauty is beheld.
Begging to be seen,
praying to be forgotten.
The blazing sea of fractured lights,
pleads with unadulterated splendor
for the impassioned touch of a lover's eye.
Shamed by its resplendence,
Urania recoils in anguish
when its beauty is beheld.
Begging to be seen,
praying to be forgotten.
Author notes
"Evening Star" prompt. I based this on stars and the composition of our eyes, and how when you attempt to behold the luminescent beauty of a star, they appear dimmer, but when viewed peripherally, they are bright and splendorous.
Enjoy,
Jess
