I can still feel the glorious pain of it
The deep ache that seems to seep into my soul
I know I can't fight it
And strangely that doesn't bother me
The cold is my comfort now
Winter's fingers send tremors down my spine
Before I would have hated these frigid nights
But something inside me has changed
I can now feel the hunger
And despite all I eat
I can still feel this ravenous desire
I begin to contemplate the sustenance of blood
Just a little something I wrote after watching Twilight... though Twilight didn't inspire me, it was the bite I received from Tranquil-words that brought this about. The title is Romanian and means "vampire birth."
Okay, due to the number of comments I am receiving about Twilight, I would like to clarify that this poem is not about Twilight. It wasn't even inspired by Twilight, I simply wrote it after watching Twilight. My inspiration was wrestling in the cold and being bitten a few times when we got home from watching the movie.
