A hush like soft pillows descends,
muting the ugliness of loud noise.
Moments of absolute silence
that this old heart much enjoys.
How blissful it is to hear nothing;
at least for a little while, I think.

Hoodwinked!
Does anyone, EVER, really hear nothing at all?
Do we not have thoughts in our mind, in our own voice that we have to listen to?
Ah, but for silence.

This is so soothing and I tend to agree. Many of us never stay silent long enough to hear the beauty in that silence. Very nice poem, and thanks so much for entering. Blessings, Patty
