fields of bravery

 

Weak signals of strong hearts,

begging for remembrance.

  Pouring out wine for amazing grace,

making you and me feel like we're okay.

 

They sent bravery into the fields

 and returned with sleeping vessels of courage,

 

telling mom and dad everything's okay

    Excellent! I have beento funerals of fallen soldiers and Marines and I can tell you...the parents ARE proud of their "sleeping vessels" but would rather have them home, alive. Good job. Write on, poet.

    Oh my god, i love this. its one of the most amazing things that i have ever read... i love the last two lines they are really good and it reminded me of my brother! this poem made me cry! i loved it, there isnt a thing that you could possibly change!

    Those two last lines certainly have a punch to them, and they make the reader think, especially with how they tie in to the rest of the poem. Strong words.

    Oh my heart breaks

    If we could only learn to love one another and end this greed in the world and save our children .
    Why I have always asked do they choose the young to fight the battles of the elders of the generations before them . God bless our men and women in our armed forces for they know of the evils of the world and gives of themselves to protect their families and friends . For humanity refuses to learn how to love therefore we pray for their safety and guidance to see them home .I bless the families of our men and women in the forces that they know they to holds such strength and love for their country our prayers are with you every day .
