Oh! The spring,
It sleeps but then rises,
Without a single blemish,
And full of new surprises,
It lights up all the trees,
And turns the fields grey,
To a meadow of hopes,
Where all the children play,
Spring dances on the wind,
And sings the leaves song,
It grows on all our hearts,
And lasts all seasons long,
Spring brings my soul alive,
A friend for all my days,
Someone that I love,
And accepts my foolish ways,
And even as seasons change,
Spring will always be in my heart,
No matter how many miles away,
No matter how far we are apart.
It sleeps but then rises,
Without a single blemish,
And full of new surprises,
It lights up all the trees,
And turns the fields grey,
To a meadow of hopes,
Where all the children play,
Spring dances on the wind,
And sings the leaves song,
It grows on all our hearts,
And lasts all seasons long,
Spring brings my soul alive,
A friend for all my days,
Someone that I love,
And accepts my foolish ways,
And even as seasons change,
Spring will always be in my heart,
No matter how many miles away,
No matter how far we are apart.
Author notes
Well, This might not be very obvious, but this poem is really about my AP mum Rose Angel. She has supported me a lot lately, and I really appreciate it. No matter how many miles away, and even if I will never see her face to face, she will still be close to my heart.

Very Beautiful...

And sings the leaves song,
It grows on all our hearts,
And lasts all seasons long"
Bravo! This is well done. I love this stanza (above). Very nice imagery; what a good, uplifting sense here.

How beautiful

When I read this, I can smell the spring blossoms on the air and hear the birds in the trees. So much love and care you have poured into this write, I think with poems like this people could come to appreciate nature and the world again. Truly gorgeous, thanks so much for entering the contest, and best of luck in it.

Awesome Write!
What a metaphor here of spring! Spring does bring us hopes of a new year, of rebirth, new flowers, birds returning....Ode is really a good way to title it..And last but not least, thank you for the dedication...I hope I can always be an encouragement to you and others....Thank you dear daughter....This is a grand poem....So well rhymed, worded, the flow is very good....And it is a delight to read! Excellent write!
