Beauty is a blessing

The shadows of a face in candlelight
Means nothing without a heart,
The light that twinkles in ones eye
Has always been a place for one to start,
Beauty is a blessing, some take for granted
Not knowing what makes a person shine,
Beauty is only underneath the skin
That is where most can find mine,
I don't have a perfect curve of the waist
My spine doesn't dip like yours,
I have beauty in the richness of my laughter
This is where my life begins the cures,
I am not like most women on a typical day,
I float in the moment and I say what I say,
I have a big heart and I learn from my mistakes
I have a broken smile and it's as pretty as can be,
My hair is not the same color it waves where it wants
I dont ask for much from others except to love me just for me,
Beauty is a blessing
It comes through the eyes we see,
No matter the cause i've beat the odds
I enjoy being big, beautiful and free.
