I shall bring to you
a golden key of compassion
from the center of my heart,
to open up the dreams lost
while trapped in your captivity
and give you a deep freeing sense of peace
out of your days of sadness,
lifting your soul
by soft and tender caressing assurances
until you can feel hope
float across your life again.
Take away the pain
with acceptance’s silky embraces,
let the precious bird inside
see a world without tears,
guide towards a sanctuary
where I will always
drape you in the softest and gentlest of words
until they touch and heal every sorrow.
Show you sunrises filled with quiet deliverance,
exhale a bliss’s breeze in mercy’s breathe
on which your fantasy feathers can soar,
always away from the bars that kept you prisoner.
Oh come with my sweet precious dove of light
where I will let you drink from tranquility’s fount
at last able to know the freedom
that will hold you close as a frail bird
in need of understanding,
being nurtured from the seeds of care,
ever calmed before any storms
because you will feel so cherished,
no longer facing the world in despair,
serenity kissing you spirit
ever watched over with loving eyes.

Out the window it looks at the sunlight’s rays
Wishing to be free from servitude
Unpenning is long overdue
Wanting to feel the wind through its wings
To see what nature can bring
Taking in a breath of fresh air
Not thinking of entrapments despair
Living in wilderness peace
