The crescent Moon stole
across the white of your pillow
Softly she kissed the amulet
and I felt the charge
You rose like smoke
from a November fire
and blew through the window
to lie on the fleece
spread before me
Naked
you slept as I took my prize
held by the charm
unwoken by my touch
I tasted you
tested you
knew you
a second kiss as my Moon departs
locks you to my love
You wake to my eyes
and welcome me
Mine
Till the Moon
sets you free
across the white of your pillow
Softly she kissed the amulet
and I felt the charge
You rose like smoke
from a November fire
and blew through the window
to lie on the fleece
spread before me
Naked
you slept as I took my prize
held by the charm
unwoken by my touch
I tasted you
tested you
knew you
a second kiss as my Moon departs
locks you to my love
You wake to my eyes
and welcome me
Mine
Till the Moon
sets you free

Haunting....beautiful....the voice of a heart so full of poetry. This piece of free verse is exceptional. I thank
you for once again stealing my breath away. Love, Lane -
