The End of The Line

In desperation,
I sought you--
one whom I once loved,
to tell me
all the things we dreamed of
were still within our grasp.

But the things that we once fought for
seemed to fade away;
maintaining the rule
that love is blind
but dies before its time.

    There is truth in your words

    This poem is well written, of a love once close, now a fading dream. And so true are your words, for where love is left to linger too long in the mist, it will surely die before its time. Well written indeed and good luck in contest.
