Bubbles, frothy soap swirling
Round my little toes
I sit enjoying the warmth
Of the water pouring down
From the crown of my head
Over my shoulders.
Oh how I coo and smile
I love my daily bath
Mummy loves to hear me
And see the soap over
My little body
Washed squeaky clean
While she sings her songs
Lovingly to me!
Little do I know
Someone who loves me more
When I get older
Will say to me
" I must wash you too,
For I love you that much"
My master and my Lord!
Daily wash me Lord Jesus
From the soil of sin,
The world's contaminants
So I can be clean and pure
Not only outside, but within!
"Wash me and I shall be clean!"
"Yes, I will be whiter than snow!"
My little fingers raised as a baby
To protect the soap from my eyes
I lift my hands in prayer as a child
Now finally as a grown up I realize
There is a true joy in cleansing
In our precious Savior's care
In His love He washes us
As we trust Him, He is there!
