Lord, the more time I spend with You
the richer I become.
The more I love Your people,
Your children!
But, Father, I have a problem.
I'm becoming obsessed with You.
I'm talking to You about EVERYTHING!
When I see a person messing up his life,
all I can think about is how much it hurts You.
Everything makes me want to cry.
When I see Your beauty, Your splendor
in everything around me, it's too much.
You've done too much for us, Lord.
And yet, I am so thankful that You have.
Because without you, I'd be nothing.
I'd be a wilting flower,
dying for lack of purpose.
So, Jesus, I would ask you to
wash me, clean me, and bless me,
but the thing is...
you already have.

YOur title caught my eye...and as you line by line conversed one on one with God...you shared your concerns, but then...requested the Lord's washing your own heart and soul.....This was touching...Inspirational!

Wow, very nice write. It really blessed me. :-) Great poetic imagery, and yet you still kept it real and personal. And you can *never* talk to or about God too much! ;-) Blessings!

Amen!
The Lord can never do too much for us. We should all be thankful for what He has done for us. A very passionate message to Him. Good one, young poet.

It is so easy to lose sight of this critical truth. Thanks for reminding us again. This is a conversation which must never end, and so lovingly expressed here.
"Everything makes me want to cry." Yes.
